Karen Bogisch, a long-time Rotarian and our president-elect told us a little bit about herself. She grew up in Seguin, Texas, the youngest of five children. After attending college at Texas Lutheran College (now Texas Lutheran University), she moved to Boston and attended Boston College Law School. Upon her return to Texas, she started working with the late Bob Goldsmith, a long-time member of the Rotary Club of North Austin, and they had their own law firm Goldsmith & Bogisch for 20 years. Bob was also instrumental in Karen's Rotary journey, which has included being president of the Rotary Club of North Austin in 2000-2001 and District 5870 Chair of the Group Study Exchange program for four years. Outside of Rotary, Karen enjoys sailboat racing (also courtesy of Bob Goldsmith), traveling, hiking, and other outdoor adventures!
